4 things to do on the weekend as a sober curious girly

There’s something quietly powerful about choosing a different kind of weekend.

Not because you have to.
Not because you’re cutting anything out.
But because you’re starting to notice how much better you feel when you slow things down.

Clear head.
Better sleep.
More energy.
More you.

Being sober curious isn’t about restriction, it’s about intention.

It’s asking: What actually makes me feel good?

And building your weekends around that.

Here are four ways to spend your weekend that feel just as fun, but a lot more aligned.

1. Create a Slow, Intentional Morning:

Instead of rushing into the day or recovering from the night before, give yourself a morning that feels soft.

No alarms (if you can help it).
No scrolling first thing.
No pressure to be productive.

Make a coffee.
Sit in the sun.
Journal for a few minutes.

Let your body wake up naturally.

These kinds of mornings don’t just feel good in the moment, they set the tone for your entire weekend.

2. Romanticize a Solo Reset Day:

There’s something deeply grounding about spending time alone on purpose.

Take yourself out for a walk.
Go to your favourite café.
Run errands slowly, with music in your ears.

Turn your day into a ritual, not a checklist.

This is your time to reset your energy, clear your mind, and reconnect with yourself, without distraction.

3. Move Your Body (Without Forcing It):

Skip the “all or nothing” mindset.

You don’t need an intense workout to feel good, you just need to move.

A long walk.
A gentle yoga class.
Stretching on your bedroom floor.

Let it feel easy.

Movement, when it’s not forced, becomes something you actually look forward to, not something you avoid.

4. Have a Cozy Night In (Done Properly):

You don’t need a night out to have a good night.

Set the mood at home:

  • light a candle
  • put on a comfort show or movie
  • make a good meal or order something you love
  • do your skincare slowly

Make it feel intentional, not like a “second option.”

Because when you wake up the next morning feeling clear, rested, and good in your body?

You’ll get it.

Being sober curious isn’t about rules.

It’s about noticing:

  • how you feel
  • what drains you
  • what actually fills you up

And choosing more of that.
