how to make the perfect guac (quick, simple, tasty)

how to make the perfect guac (quick, simple, tasty)

There are a lot of ways to make guacamole, but sometimes you don’t need anything fancy, just something fresh, simple, and really good.

For me, guac isn’t just food… it’s a vibe.
It’s the kind of thing you eat with nachos, in the sun, with good music on, not rushing anything. And when it’s done right, it hits every time.

This version is my go-to: minimal ingredients, fresh texture, and just the right balance of flavour without overcomplicating it.

Avocado already does most of the work. It’s creamy, rich, and naturally satisfying on its own. So instead of overwhelming it with too many ingredients, this version keeps things light and balanced.

You get:

  • Creaminess from the avocado
  • Freshness from the veggies
  • A subtle richness from olive oil
  • And that final flavour lift from salt

It’s not about masking the avocado, it’s about enhancing it.

The Recipe (My Way):

Ingredients:

  • Ripe avocados
  • A drizzle of olive oil
  • Chopped tomatoes
  • Chopped cucumber
  • Himalayan salt

How to Make It:

  1. Mash your avocado
Keep it slightly chunky, texture makes it better.
  2. Add a drizzle of olive oil
This adds smoothness and brings everything together.
  3. Mix in your chopped tomatoes and cucumber
This is what gives it that fresh, slightly juicy bite.
  4. Season with Himalayan salt
    Start small, taste, and adjust.
  5. Mix everything gently
You want it combined, but still textured.

I think food should feel good, not just taste good.

And this guac? It’s one of those things that feels grounding. It’s simple, nourishing, and something you can come back to anytime.

Especially when you pair it with nachos… because let’s be real, that combination is undefeated.

It’s not about making the “perfect” guac.

It’s about making something that you actually enjoy, and this one just happens to check all the boxes.
