I wish I had a more interesting answer when people ask me what I eat for breakfast.
Like something aesthetic or impressive or at least slightly unpredictable.
But the truth is… I don’t.
I eat the same thing. Almost every day.
Two fried eggs. Sliced avocado. Salt. Sometimes pepper if I’m feeling ambitious.
That’s it.
And honestly? I love it.
I used to think being repetitive meant I was boring.
Like I should be switching things up more, trying new breakfasts, being one of those people who makes smoothies with ten ingredients and a personality.
But I’ve realized something:
I don’t actually want variety in the morning.
I want something I don’t have to think about.
Something that just works.
Two eggs, avocado, done.
No decisions. No overthinking. No “what should I eat today?” spiral at 9am when I’m barely awake.
It’s automatic in the best way.
And I think there’s something kind of calming about that, having small parts of your life that don’t change.
It’s not dramatic or exciting or content-worthy.
But it’s so good. It’s filling. It’s balanced.
Protein, healthy fats, something real in my stomach before the day starts moving too fast.
It’s the kind of meal that doesn’t try to be anything other than what it is.
And maybe that’s why I like it so much.
More recipes. More effort. More aesthetic breakfasts.
But now I think I just needed consistency.
Not everything has to be a new experience to be meaningful.
Some things are good because they stay the same.
I know it’s not exciting.
There’s no recipe twist or secret ingredient or viral hack here.
Just eggs. Avocado. Repeat.
And I think I’ve finally accepted that boring doesn’t mean bad.
Sometimes it just means I’ve found something that fits.
